Insert Vertex

Accessible via:
  • Menubar » Tools » Vertex Tools² » Insert
  • Toolbar » Vertex Tools² - Mesh » Insert Vertex
  1. Pick a point on an Edge or a Face.

Edges are split at the point picked. When the point picked is on a Face, new edges are created from each vertex of the Face towards the point provided they do not cross any existing edges. Press Ctrl to toggle between soft & smooth versus hard edges. The tool makes use of snapping inference, but no inference locking.

Poke

Accessible via:
  • Menubar » Tools » Vertex Tools² » Poke… » Poke
  • Toolbar » Vertex Tools² - Mesh » Poke
  1. Select faces to Poke.
  2. Pick a point on a selected Face and keep the mouse button pressed.
  3. Move the mouse to adjust the offset distance of the new vertex.

Splits selected faces by creating edges from their vertices towards a center point. The new vertex can be offset by a given distance.

Options

Accessible via:
  • Menubar » Tools » Vertex Tools² » Poke…
  • Vertex Mode » Poke Tool » Context Menu
Poke at Mean Average
Position of the new vertex is the average of the face's vertices.
Poke at Weighted Mean Average
Position of the new vertex is the average of the face's vertices weighted by the length of the face's edges.

Bevel

Accessible via:
  • Menubar » Tools » Vertex Tools² » Bevel… » Bevel
  • Toolbar » Vertex Tools² - Mesh » Bevel
  1. Select vertices to Bevel.
  2. Pick one of the selected vertices.
  3. Move the mouse to adjust the Bevel offset.

Bevels the selected vertices, creating a face in replacement for each vertex.

💡 Tip: Adjusting the Bevel selection
A new selection can be made while the Bevel tool is active by performing a drag-select. Normal selection modifier keys also works.

Options

Accessible via:
  • Menubar » Tools » Vertex Tools² » Bevel…
  • Vertex Mode » Poke Tool » Context Menu
Fit To Plane
Forces the new faces to be coplanar. This will lead to the given offset to deviate slightly for each vertex of the bevel.
Bevel by Offset
The new edges for the bevel will all be the same length, provided there is space available.
Bevel by Percent
The length of the new edges will all be relative to the percentage of the picked vertex's edges.

Bridge

Accessible via:
  • Menubar » Tools » Vertex Tools² » Bridge
  • Toolbar » Vertex Tools² - Mesh » Bridge

Select two sets of vertices, each with the same number of vertices and quad-faces will be generated between them.
